Golden Diner Family Restaurant

This is a 3 star place, service is friendly, it's clean but decor quite dated and worn, the food was meh, had the clubhouse, it was mediocre. Perhaps it's best to stick to the breakfast menu... Don't think I'll go back.

Simple, cheap, great diner food. Cosy place with a good service. Highly recommended.

Great everyday diner. Breakfast served all day, wonderful diner coffee, free Wi-Fi, and a personable and attentive wait staff guarantee a return visit from me. Greek omelette with "brown toast", please.

Hidden gem next to my favorite place to chill....Great food at really good prices. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The menu is really good and has lots of variety. The staff are all hard working and very friendly. Very happy I stumbled upon this place

Cute little dinner with comfort food. This place has a lot of nostalgia value. While I would only give it 3 stars for food (in comparison to similar restaurant types), this place gets a solid 4 for bringing overall joy and comfort.

I went to pick up an order for a client (Uber Eat). The old lady was rude, and aggressive with me. She said to me : "Move your bag. Be fast."No hello, no goodbye. I said thank you and happy new year. No a word or a smile from her !!! Whao what is that... what kind of hospitality is that...As an Ubereat rider, I am kind of a customer, because, the food I delivered it is for your clients. And I could be a new client... But with this hospitality no thanks !

Old school Diner, great food, large portions at good prices. It's my go-to for Eggs Benny and the place that has THE BEST split pea soup in the city (if ur lucky enough that it's the soup of the day)

I don't usually make reviews but this restaurant is like a mom and pop's. Don't expect high energy music, loud tables as it just nice. Had a full rack of bbq ribs with fries and a chefs salad for $12.99. Definitly going back.

Simple unpretentious classic dinner. Decent food and decent serving size. Price as more than fair.Decor could be considered outdated but if you want to pay for decor you can go to Cora down the street. Servers are pleasant but not overly welcoming. Which is fine they are there to do a job and you are there to eat not make friends.

Nice good with good prices. It is not a fancy restaurant. It is a familiar restaurant. I tried the Sirloin beef with fries. Very good!

This is like Mel's diner on TV. The breakfast is abit pricey. Atmosphere is classic diner with booths. Its abit tired looking. Could use an updating. Service was very fast.

It’s a small diner style place which is nice. The decor is dated but that comes with the place. The food is diner food it’s cheap and plentiful. The waitress is a bit rude and condescending, but over all the place is good.

Great spot to grab some greasy diner fare. Definitely more basic, but for the price everything more than hits the spot. Coffee and orange juice come with the brunch dishes, which is a lovely touch. If you end up with server Nick you will be in very good hands - but the other servers are great as well.

Lovely staff, were made to feel very welcome. This place knows customer service. Portion sizes were amazing for the price and service was quick and food tasted fresh. As the lovely server said "it's quick because we know what we're doing". One of the most positive experiences during our time in Toronto. Would definitely go back (well, we did .. both mornings we were in Toronto)

On a cold and rainy afternoon, the Mrs and I found welcome shelter in this unexpected haven of good eats.This is the place to go if you want a value meal that will fill your tummy with flavor. Homey, big helpings, and to-the-point staff. All for a decent price.

My girlfriend and I like to go to the Golden Diner for weekend breakfast. They're always quick and considerate, and the food is good quality for a fair price. We have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table and we've noticed that the staff likes to give special attention when they can find the time. 10/10 will come back!

Awesome place, very homey diner to bring the homies to for hang over food

We had just arrived on the bus, both starving. We walked around bit and came upon this diner. We ended up eating some of the best Greek food we've had in a really long time ! Our food was cooked on the char-delicious ! The Navy Bean soup was to die for ! Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Definitely will make this a must stop on our next trip.

Golden Diner is an excellent diner. I'm really into eggs Benedict, I have tried it all over Toronto and in other North American cities, and Golden Diner honestly has IMO the best eggs benny (seriously). Good value food, great service, always consistent. I like how the breakfasts come with a small glass of orange juice. I love the interior--it's a classic diner.

In recent times I have tried both the gyro pita and the gyro dinner. Both come with large portions, but I'm more a fan of the gyro pita.The gyro dinner is a large plate of rice, potatoes and greek salad salad with a stack of gyro meat on top. While it's delicious, I prefer having the pita. It's just too much food with the potatoes AND rice in my opinion. The gyro pita is a delicious packed pita with the regular fixings (tomato, onion, tzatziki and gyro meat). For an extra few bucks you can add fries, or my favorite...chef salad (i.e. greek salad loaded with feta)I often get take out as it's right near my house. I call ahead, and can leave right away and my food is ready when I get there. Fast, friendly service.
